the way of the wind

life is good here at -11ºC.

my school just accepted my application to go to kenya for a semester next fall... that's one hurdle down, one more to go! i have to apply to the actual SCHOOL in kenya to get accepted. while it's important to be positive and hope that this dream is going to come true - i'm trying not to get my hopes up too high because there's still the possibility of getting rejected. i guess i have to constantly remind myself that if it is in God's will to send me there, He will get me there.

meanwhile, imma lovin' mah classes!
at least 2 of them.
i LOVE microbiology :) :) :) we're playing with microscopes and bacteria. it's SOOOOOOOOOOO fun. maybe i can be a microbiologist and specialise in testing the water supply in remote villages in different parts of the world.

i also LOVE my religion class - Voices of Modern Israel. I'm finding it challenging because there're only 8 people (including me) in the class to the professor (who's Israeli!) and while she lectures from time to time, there's a lot of ongoing discussion. and i love to listen, but a huge chunk of my grade is dependent on me. talking. so it's daring me to get out from this shell of timidity. and i'm slowly getting there... i think. she knows my name at least. that's a good thing...

RESEARCH is super fun too. my mentor is kaysia - who is my friend before my mentor - and she lets me do a ton of things and i brought in a cd with chinese pop music on it... so yeah, we're dancing while we dissolve, extract, vacuum filter, and conduct nmrs and gcs! woooooo.

biochem is slightly shady. it's okay so far... i sit at the back of the huge class and slack. there's this guy who has facial features like a roman god. very handsome, very chiselled, a curly mass of hair. interesting to look at but very paiseh to stare lah, ahaha... next week in lab we might get to blend a sheep's heart, so that should be interesting... last 2 weeks were incredibly crappy labs involving spectrophotometry - not fun when you're doing it 18 times...

physics is... the same.

so yeah, that's my life so far so good.
indeed God has been good to me - in so many ways. i am content :) all praise, glory, honour and power be unto Him in good times and in bad.
