people here are so obsessed with health care to the point where i feel that most of them are seriously hypochondriacs or semi-hypochondriacs. for every little minor thing they go popping pills - advil, ibuprofen and dayquil and whatnot. mild headache, stomachache, runny nose etc etc... and for the slightest ailment they complain of sickness - "i feel sick", "because i'm unwell it's to the point where i don't know how i feel when i'm actually well" (-.-")
... drama, for most part.
i try to sympathise but SERIOUSLY, c'mon - in my opinion if you're slightly unwell with a headache, cold, cough or flu, you rest out the illness, drink lots of tea (contains salicylate, the most natural form of aspirin), build up your immune system and recover! of course your body can take it - it's a most resilient creation! if you convince yourself you feel like throwing up, of course you'll feel like throwing up. that's why healthcare here is so expensive, because the demand is so high! i think medicine should only be taken when you get so incredibly distracted or out of it that you can't do anything else.
for me, i avoid pills at all costs - it could be an asian thing, as observed by a buddy of mine. i dunno. artificially made foreign bodies in my system are allowed only if there's a really good reason for it. besides... the more you pop the more dependent you get on it and the more costly it gets in the long run.
