SUMMER MILESTONES
this is also on my LJ...

1) PUDDING - i am officially an addict to Hunt's snack packs - to the point of eating them with a fork.

2) New improved Carrot Cake, Pumpkin Chocolate Chip muffins, Almond Cream Scones - made 'em, ate 'em

3) Getting to open up a massive box of glassware and packing peanuts (can fit me inside!) from ChemGlass - when your chemistry counts. Tanski said it was for me - I now proclaim the glass columns as my own.

4) Mastering the Rotovap and *hopefully the NMR

5) Cooking to feed others

6) Picnicked with lovely people by the Hudson River :) here are pictures to boot :D

7) SUCCESSFULLY PLANNING TO GO TO D.C

8) Getting treated (together with Sam and Marina) to a full meal at the dutch cabin by Tanski - and decent conversation (not much on my part, though)

9) Getting to independently work the Vacuum line and Argon tank.

10) Playing *confidently with liquid Nitrogen

11) Done mad shopping - several times.

12) Made a couple of new friends along the way :)

My friend hosted a "white party" the other day, it was really nice and weird because everything (well, nearly) was white including majority of the food we consumed --



Also, it's nice when you have a friend trust you so completely. So this friend of mine is now in a place without internet, and because he has quite a bit of official correspondence - he ended up calling me and basically gave me his passwords to help him access his personal stuff. i'm glad that i am worthy of such trust, and am glad that at least for one other person our friendship is at a very different level. much deeper than trivial friendships that come to pass me by ever so often. these ones are keepers for life - as are several others i know that i have both here and back home. Friendships rooted in trust and most importantly, in God.

it's fourth of july tomorrow! independence day holiday! i'm... picnicking again! with other people this time, but i'm sure it'll be nice :)
