i watched cinema paradiso this past weekend. i must admit that i'm not a very good movie watcher because i have an incredibly short attention span but this movie, despite bordering on about 3 hours, and ending at 2 am sunday morning, kept me riveted. it's a beautiful story with the most perfect ending i have experienced. how i love foreign films! also because i knew beforehand that ennio morricone had composed the main theme for this movie -- ever had cried over a piece of music that made your spine tingle? ever seen the violinist cry when playing his solo? this'll do it :) I LOVE ENNIO MORRICONE.
