hoho, before my other post even has time to get warm, this other post is coming! woohoo! but must plan out carefully :P
*ahem
WELCOME TO HAWAII, one and all! aloha aloha mahalo mahalo...

after moving over to marisa's place, we have been engaging in plenty plenty touristy stuff! so you've seen wihiwihiloa, but have you seen manoa? i think i'm becoming a hiking buff... so we headed over to manoa falls, it's a waterfall hike. the waterfall itself was kind of disappointing, likened to a 'leaky faucet' by an annoyed tourist, which i agree with 100%, but straying onto another trail (one that much fewer tourists take), i got to experience clambering over a million tree roots on a slanted dirt path, being encased in a jungle of bamboo trees, getting myself introduced to ginormous banyan trees, and sinking deep into mud. here are some of the pictures if i can figure this thingamagig out (^-^)

the next day was one that i will remember for a lifetime. we headed over to world famous Hanauma Bay for snorkeling. it's a crater that result from an undersea volcanic eruption. and over time, as the sea level rose, the bay got filled up and is teeming with marine life. isn't creation amazing? indeed i feel so happy thinking about God giving us His people beautiful things like nature to enjoy. but also, i think what is an even greater blessing is for a person to see the beauty that is not apparent. the little glimpses of heaven all around us that we don't notice.

i managed to snorkel for a bit, and swim around. and inevitably get sunburned. i've actually gotten pretty tan this summer... good grief. it's not that i want to get tan, but with getting tan/burned comes a lot of painful itching. hoho. anyway, pics of the glorious bay ---

today was a round the island trip - went to the pali lookout, sunset beach, pupukena beach park, matsumoto's shaved ice *yummy, and dole cannery -- YES, AGAIN. hoho, this time round i did the world's largest maze in the dole plantation with marisa and cara, and ate dole whip. it's soooooooooo yummy.

so yuppie, those wonderful things happened in the last couple of days. it's quite scary how i've only like 6 days till i fly back to college to start a new semester. doesn't feel like it at all... but i think i'm good and ready for school again... just have the horrible issue of courses to sort out. but i DID LOOK AT THE COURSE SCHEDULE today for alternatives to my final course :P
